Prophecy Fulfilled?

Zechariah 12:3 says, "And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surly be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it."

Last week President Trump officially recognized Jerusalem as Israel's capital. This has caused strong negative reactions in many countries especially those who proclaim themselves as enemies of Israel. As we look at Zechariah 12:3 we see our Lord God stating, "I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples."

As a result, the question is being raised by many prophetic peoples - Is this a sign that this prophecy is being fulfilled? Notice this verse says that this prophetic event will happen "In That Day." What does In That Day mean? This phrase is found numerous times in God's Word and is believed to be the culmination of all necessary events just prior to the time of Jesus coming back to earth.

So, now, we ask again - is President Trump's declaration a key prophetic event? Jerusalem has always been a place of tension and conflict. President Trump's declarations adds to this tension. However, we must notice that Zechariah 12:3 says "all peoples" will consider Jerusalem a Heavy Stone in that day. We are not at that prophetic moment yet but certainly we need to watch and pray concerning events in Israel and especially in Jerusalem.

Let us conclude our message by highlighting how our Lord God will react to those "who heave Jerusalem away" meaning they verbally or physically attack Jerusalem. Our Lord God's reaction is to "cut these people and nations to pieces." Additionally, Zechariah 12:9 says, "It shall be in that day that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem." In these days in which we live, we all need to be certain that we are those who bless Israel and not curse Israel. Genesis 12:3.

May The Lord Bless You This Day And Each Day,
Frank
