"And The Government Will Be Upon His Shoulder"

Isaiah 9:6-7 says, "For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgement and justice from that time forward, even forever."

Our Christmas 2023 message will circulate around the phrases "The government will be upon His shoulder" and "Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end." Would you be interested in total peace on earth that has no end? The Word of God mentions this exact atmosphere but how and when?

The book of Isaiah mentions numerous times the phrase "In That Day." The following is a list of the mentions of this phrase:

Isaiah 10:27 -"In That Day burden will be taken away."

Isaiah 11:10 -"In That Day there shall be a root of Jesse."

Isaiah 11:11 -"In That Day The Lord will recover the remnant."

Isaiah 12:4 -"In That Day call upon His name."

Isaiah 14:4 -"In That Day The Lord will give rest from sorrow."

Isaiah 17:7 -"In That Day man will look to his Maker."

In closing, we raise the question "When will In That Day happen?" We believe this is referring to the actual return of Jesus Christ to earth as described in Revelation 19:11-17. This Christmas would be the most important and special Christmas ever if "In That Day" takes place this very time of the year!

We Pray You Will Have A Most Joyous And Anointed Christmas!

Israel Is Changed Forever

Israel is a totally different nation today than it was October 6, 2023. Approximately 1,400 Israelis have lost their lives and more than 200 soldiers and civilians were kidnaped and taken to North Gaza. Hamas has fired thousands of rockets from Gaza into Israeli towns and cities including Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. Within the last two weeks a small number of hostages, primarily older women and children, have been released by Hamas.

We who love Israel have an important role in this scenario by praying Psalm 83 every day in which verses 3,4 state that Israel's enemies "have consulted together . . . that the name of Israel may be remembered no more." However, later verses in this Psalm illustrate people pleading with Jehovah God to defeat Israel's enemies.

Psalm 83:13,15,16,17 say, "O my God, make them like the whirling dust, like the chaff before the wind! As the fire burns the woods, and as the flame sets the mountains on fire, so pursue them with Your tempest, and frighten them with Your storm. Fill their faces with shame, that they may seek Your name, O Lord. Let them be confounded and dismayed forever, yes, let them be put to shame and perish."

Our Lord God has won every war Israel has fought and the result of this current battle will also be a win for Israel! The only question we might ask is "When And How?" Our part is to pray Psalm 83 daily!

Stay Tuned For A Special Christmas Message Next Week!

Blessings,

Israel Returns To The Lord

Our title for this message is the title for Ezekiel 36:8-38. Possibly your reaction to this title is surprise as it is for us. In this section of the Word of God, He is talking about people who knew Jesus as Lord and Savior, became backslidden and then again received Jesus as their Savior. The surprise is that only 2 percent of Israelis currently know Jesus as their Savior and Messiah. Let us explore this section of God's Word and find out its true meaning.

Ezekiel 36:8 says, "But you, O mountains of Israel, you shall shoot forth your branches and yield your fruit to My people Israel, for they are about to come." This verse is currently taking place since Jewish people from all around the world are returning to Israel. We believe this will even increase, since God's Chosen People are fearful no matter where they live.

Important! Please notice verse 22 says, "Therefore say to the house of Israel, thus says the Lord God; 'I do not do this for your sake, O house of Israel, but for My holy name's sake.'" God is bringing His people back home to Israel "For His Holy Name."

In closing, Ezekiel 36:24-28 says, "For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries and bring you into your own land. Then I will sprinkle clean water on you and you shall be clean! I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes and you will keep My judgements and do them. Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people and I will be your God."

Jehovah God is bringing His people back to Israel so they {all of them} can accept Jesus as their Savior and Messiah. This confirms Romans 11:26 that says, "All Israel Will Be Saved!"

Hallelujah . . . Hallelujah . . . Hallelujah . . . Hallelujah

God Is In Control!

In light of all the turmoil currently taking place in Israel and Gaza, we at For Zion's Sake Ministry sense we all need to be reminded "God Is In Control!" Israel has had to fight many battles even one on the day it was founded in May of 1948. As we declare again God Is In Control, this is proven by the fact that God has won every battle for Israel and the current battle will end with Israel victorious in control of Gaza. The only question is when will this happen? Praise The Lord!

In the meantime, all of us who love Israel should pray diligently that God will bring forth this victory sooner than later. We have learned that a very effective way to pray is to repeat God's Word back to Him in our prayers. The following are Psalms we can pray now that illustrate Jehovah God Taking Care Of Israel:

Psalm 98:1-3 - "Oh, sing to The Lord a new song! For He has done marvelous things; His right hand and His holy arm have gained Him the victory. The Lord has made known His salvation; His righteousness He has openly shown in the sight of the nations. He has remembered His mercy and His faithfulness to the house of Israel."

Psalm 99:1-3 - "The Lord reigns; let the peoples tremble! He dwells between the cherubim; let the earth be moved! The Lord Is Great In Zion, and He is high above all the peoples."

Psalm 102:12,13,16 - "But You, O Lord, shall endure forever, and the remembrance of Your name to all generations. You will arise and have mercy on Zion; for the time to favor her, yes, the set time has come . . . for The Lord shall build up Zion; He shall appear in His glory."

Psalm 125:1-2 - "Those who trust in The Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved but abide forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so The Lord surrounds His people from this time forth and forever."

Currently, we are witnessing our Lord God answering our prayers with the Israel Defense Forces in control of North Gaza and with hostages being released. Let us all persevere in our prayers for God to grant Israel total and complete victory in Gaza. Bless His Holy Name!

Blessings,

Frank

Why Israel?

Possibly during these days and times in which we live, you have questions why are Israel and the Jewish People under attack? It almost appears that the whole world is against them. WHY?

The book of Genesis answers this question especially chapter 12:2-3. Jehovah God is speaking to Abram and his descendants {The Jews} and says, "I will make you into a great nation; I will bless you . . . I will curse him who curses you." Jehovah God determined that the Jewish People would be "His Chosen People." WHY? We believe there is not any person who can answer this question. Also, it is important to note that Christians have become recipients of these blessings. {Romans 11:17}

How Has God Blessed Israel Past And Present?

Genesis 15:9-19 - Established with Israel an Unconditional Covenant.

Genesis 15:18 - Gave Israel land from Egypt to the Euphrates River.

Genesis 17:2 - Told Israel He would multiply them exceedingly.

Genesis 18:18 - Israel would become a great and mighty nation.

Genesis 22:17 - Their descendants will possess the gate of enemies.

Genesis 26:4 - All the nations will be blessed through Israel.

Genesis 26:24 - God told Israel "I am God and I will bless you."

We do not know why God chose Israel and the Jewish People but this we know . . . We should pray daily for Israel. {Psalm 122:6}

"All Israel Will Be Saved"

Our title is from Romans 11:26 and points to a day in the future when all the Jewish People from all around the world will be back in Israel recognizing Jesus as their Messiah and "Will Be Saved." Have we aroused your interest? We trust we have since this is a very important message! Romans 11:26 indeed says, "All Israel Will Be Saved." How and when will this happen?

We need to understand how all the Jews will desire to be physically back in Israel. To answer this question, currently Jewish People around the world are fearful and some have even been physically attacked. Jewish college students and those who work in Synagogues are trying to live their daily lives but at the same time are fearful. Anti-Semitism is at a level equal to the Holocaust.

How many of the Jewish People around the world are seriously considering moving back to Israel which is referred to as "Making Aliyah?" Historically, the following question has been raised "Why would wealthy Jews even consider moving to Israel?" Do the current world-wide conditions answer this question?

How will all Israel be saved? Zechariah 14:4 says about Jesus, "And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives." It is believed this will happen at the end of the Tribulation Period. Zechariah 12:10 says, "And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they have pierced."

All The Jewish People Will Look At Jesus

{The One They Pierced}

And Recognize Him

 As Their Messiah

And Will Be Saved!

 Hallelujah!

Blessings,

Frank

Israel Loves Their Enemies

Matthew 5:43-44 illustrates Jesus saying, "You have heard that it was said, 'you shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.'"

This is part of the Word of God that might cause us to think, "I do not desire to keep this directive from our Lord and Savior." However, if you lived in Israel, even now during the war they are fighting, you would witness this every day. Yes, even now, a surgeon living in Israel was asked, "If a terrorist who was injured was brought to you for treatment, would you treat him?" The surgeon replied, "Absolutely, YES!"

We will explore this question further by looking at daily life in Israel. Israel is described as a Pluralistic Democracy which gives equal rights to all including Arabs. They have more freedom in Israel than any other country in the Middle East. For example, Arabs living in Israel can become citizens meaning they vote in elections and elect members to the Knesset which is the governing body of Israel.

Arab women living in Israel have more freedom than any Arab country since they can attend any school, college or university. This is not the case in traditional Arab societies because it reduces male authority and respect. This raises the question, "Do Israelites living in Arab countries have similar rights and freedoms?" NO!

By the way, the Old Covenant also declares in the Torah that we should love our enemies. Leviticus 19:18 says, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." Let us all love our enemies using Israel as our example.

Blessings,

Frank

Blessing Israel

Genesis 12:3 shows Jehovah God speaking to Abraham and his descendants who became the Jewish People, "I will bless those who bless you." Is there a more important time than right now for all of us to Bless Israel? The question is, how can we do this? Certainly, a place to start is to pray daily for the Peace Of Jerusalem. {Psalm 122:6} Additionally and very important, we can speak the truth concerning the events in Gaza as many mistruths are currently evident.

Following are some examples from the Word of God showing how those who Bless Israel were in turn blessed. The Book of Luke describes a situation where a Roman Centurion had a servant who was about to die. The Centurion sent Jewish Elders to Jesus asking Him to come and heal the servant. The Elders informed Jesus that the Centurion "Loves Israel and has built a Synagogue." {Luke 7:4-6} Jesus then went to the Gentile's house and healed his servant! Hallelujah!

Another example is about Cornelius, a Gentile, who was described "As a devout man and one who feared God . . . who gave alms generously to the people." {Acts 10:2} The people referred to were the Jews who lived near Cornelius in Caesarea. Cornelius's house was selected by God to be the first Gentile house to receive the Gospel Of Salvation and the first to receive the Outpouring of The Holy Spirit. Praise The Lord!

Currently, an example of a person who is blessed is Tom Hess, who leads the Jerusalem House Of Prayer For All Nations located on the Mount Of Olives. This ministry has people coming daily from all over the world to pray for Israel 24 hours a day. When a person enters the ministry building, they will hear harpists worshiping The Lord with beautiful music. {Psalm 150:3}

Especially now, we who love God and the Jewish People, need to persevere in our daily prayers and our actions in support of Israel!

Blessings,

Frank

Israel At War

For all of us who love Israel and "Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem" these days are very disturbing because Israel Is At War. Almost two weeks ago, Israel was viciously invaded and attacked by the terror organization Hamas. To date, many Israelis have been killed, many have been injured and many have been taken as hostages. However, this is a terror attack, it is not a war Israel must fight that is prophesied in the Word of God.

We at For Zion's Sake Ministry sense it would be appropriate at this time to study a war that is in Israel's future - The Battle Of Gog And Magog. The timing of this war is debatable among Bible Scholars. Some feel it will take place prior to the Tribulation Period while others feel it will take place at the end of the Tribulation Period.

This battle that Israel will have to fight is described in Ezekiel 38 - 39. Jehovah God speaks to Gog who is believed to be the leader of Russia who will lead a coalition of nations that will invade Israel. Ezekiel 38:11 says this coalition of nations will invade "A land of unwalled villages; I will go to a peaceful people, who dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls and having neither bars or gates." This shows a description of Israel in the future. As a result, they will effectively recover from this current battle they are fighting, Praise The Lord!

Wonderful News! . . . Israel Wins The Battle Of Gog And Magog!

Ezekiel 38:21,23 describes God saying, "I will call for a sword against Gog throughout all my mountains. Thus I will magnify Myself and sanctify Myself, and I will be known in the eyes of many nations. Then they shall know that I am The Lord."

Israel has won every war it has fought, there is no reason to believe God will not bring them to victory in Gaza. Let us all pray Psalm 122:6 each and everyday! Hallelujah! Praise The Lord!

 Blessings,

Frank

Israel - A Blessing To The World

Our last two messages illustrated how God chose the Jewish People to be a "Great Nation." He is accomplishing this through an Unconditional Covenant meaning He alone is making it happen. {Genesis 12:2} This verse also says of the Jewish People "You shall be a blessing." Indeed, Israel has been and continues to be a blessing to the world.

When Israel was founded it was a barren desert land. Today the desert blossoms and drinking water comes from thin air. Diseases are caught early enough for effective treatment. Israeli doctors treat patients in Israel but also include Palestinians and even send their doctors to other countries. They also share their technology with the rest of the world. When a tragedy happens anywhere in the world, Israeli doctors are the first on the scene .

Yes, Israel is a blessing to the world and has been a blessing since it was founded in 1948. All the world knows Israel is currently fighting for its very existence. The terror group Hamas has started a war with Israel by firing rockets into Southern and Central Israel. Additionally, Hamas terrorists have infiltrated Israel and have attacked and murdered many men, women and children.

Please Join Me In Praying These Psalms For Israel

Psalm 2:1-6 "Why do the nations rage, and the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against The Lord and against His Anointed, saying, 'let us break Their bonds in pieces and cast away Their cords from us.' He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The Lord shall hold them in derision. Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, and distress them in His deep displeasure; yet I have set My King on My holy hill of Zion."

Psalm 9:1-5 "I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works. I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High. When My enemies turn back, they shall fall and perish at Your presence. For You have maintained My right and my cause; You sat on the throne judging in righteousness. You have rebuked the nations, You have destroyed the wicked; You have blotted out their name forever and ever."

Psalm 28:7-9 "The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song I will praise Him. The Lord is their strength, and He is the saving refuge of His anointed. Save Your people, and bless Your inheritance; shepherd them also, and bear them up forever."

Psalm 105:1-11 "Oh, give thanks to The Lord! Call upon His name; make known His deeds among the peoples. Sing to Him, sing Psalms to Him; talk of all His wondrous works. Glory in His holy name; Let the heart of those rejoice who seek The Lord. Seek The Lord and His strength; seek His face evermore. Remember His marvelous works which He has done, His wonders and the judgements of His mouth, O seed of Abraham His servant, you children of Jacob, His chosen ones! He is the Lord our God; His judgments are in all the earth. He has remembered His covenant forever, the word which He commanded, for a thousand generations, the covenant which He made with Abraham, and His oath to Isaac, and confirmed it to Jacob for a statute, to Israel for an everlasting covenant, saying, 'to you I will give the land of Canaan as the allotment of your inheritance.'"

Israel - How And Why

In our previous message we learned that Jehovah God chose Abrahm's Descendants to become His People and His Land. He established an Unconditional Covenant with the Jewish People. Our message will describe how this critically important event took place.

Abram started questioning Jehovah God about how He will make Abram and his descendants into a "Great Nation?" Our Lord and Savior responded to Abram in Genesis 13:14-17 saying, "Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are - northward, southward, eastward and westward; for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever. And I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth."

Abram is still questioning Jehovah God and asked Him in Genesis 15:8 "Lord God, how shall I know that I will inherit it?" Jehovah God responded to Abram in Genesis 15:9,10 "Bring Me a three-year-old heifer, a three-year-old female goat, a three-year-old ram, a turtledove and a young pigeon. Then he brought all these to Him and cut them in two, down the middle and placed each piece opposite the other."

Genesis 15:17 says, "And it came to pass, when the sun went down and it was dark, that behold, there was a smoking oven and a burning torch that passed between those pieces." All of us who study the Word of God know that our God works in mysterious ways. This verse certainly fits into that category.

However, Bible Scholars believe Jehovah God was the "Smoking Oven and Burning Torch" establishing His Unconditional Covenant with His Chosen People in this manner. Please notice Genesis 15:18 confirmed God was establishing a Covenant, "On the same day The Lord made a Covenant with Abram saying, 'To your descendants I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the River Euphrates.'"

This Ends The Land Dispute In Israel!

Jehovah God Gave To His Chosen People

A Major Portion Of The Middle East!

End Of Discussion!

Blessings,

Frank

Israel - How And Why?

For Zion's Sake Ministry is celebrating ten years of sharing a message from Jehovah God every week. We thank Him for this special honor and privilege, we also thank Him for the 74,000 people who have read these messages during the ten years. We also sense it is time to transition to a new series of messages entitled "Israel - How And Why?"

We will start by studying Genesis 12:1-3. Our Lord God speaks to Abram in a relatively short message but an extremely important message since it introduces the concepts of:

The Jews - God's People . . . Israel - God's Nation

Genesis 12:1-3, "Now the Lord said to Abram; 'Get out of your country, from your kindred and from your father's house, to a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.'"

Please notice Abraham was called Abram at this time. God speaks to Abram and directs him to leave his family and his home and go to a place unknown to Abram. How many of us would immediately obey in a similar situation?

God then says to Abram, "I will make you into a great nation." In reality, God is speaking to Abram and to his descendants who will become the Jewish people and will become "The Great Nation." We need to illustrate here that this "Great Nation" has a two-fold meaning. This "Great Nation" will become the physical state of Israel and also it refers to God's Chosen People - The Jews.

Shortly after Jehovah God declares to Abraham about the "Great Nation," He establishes with them an Unconditional Covenant. A Covenant is an agreement between two parties that is unbreakable. Please notice in verses 2 and 3 God promises exactly what He will do for His New Unconditional People - The Jews.

God promises: He will make them into a Great Nation...He will bless them...He will make their name great...He will make them into a blessing...He will bless those who bless them...He will curse those who curse them. Pease notice Jehovah God is doing it all!

In conclusion, Genesis 12:1-3 is the foundation road map of how God chose the Jewish People to be His "Covenant People." Could we say they are "His Chosen People?" In our next message, we will exam how the Covenant was physically established. Stay Tuned!

Blessings,

The Northern Border Of Israel

"The land is Lebanese, the control is Iranian and the target is Israel," said Israel's Defense Minister Gallant. Iran has built a base for terrorist organizations at an airport 12 miles from the border with Israel. In pictures you can see Iranian flags flying over the runways. The defense minister of Israel said, "If it comes to a conflict, we will activate the Israeli Defense Forces. Hezbullah and Lebanon will pay a heavy price."

Gallant charged Iran with organizing the most recent surge of Palestinian Terrorism in Israel, Iran seeks every means to harm Israelis. Israeli officials have alerted citizens of Israel to be extra alert during the Jewish Holidays in September.

Israel's Borders?

"Rabbi, what are Israel's actual borders?" This was a question from a student during a class about The Old Testament. In many ways this is a difficult question to answer.

The United States Ambassador to Israel said "Some will say it is the Jordan River, some will say it is the Armistice Line of 1949." Today, Israel controls from the Mediterranean Sea to Jerusalem but there is a large dispute as to who controls the West Bank which in reality is Judea and Samaria. Jesus performed the majority of His miracles in Judea and Samaria.

However, the Word of God clearly answers this question. Jehovah God speaking to Abraham and his descendants {The Jews} said in Genesis 15:18, "To your descendants I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the River Euphrates." This includes a major portion of the Middle East. The day is coming when Israel will occupy all of this land!

We Who Love And Support Israel

Should Proclaim Psalm 105:1-11

Vs. 1 - "Oh, give thanks to The Lord! Call upon His name; make known His deeds among the peoples."

Vs. 2 - "Sing to Him sing Psalms to Him; talk of all His wonderous works."

Vs. 3 - "Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those rejoice who seek The Lord."

Vs. 4 - "Seek The Lord and His strength; seek His face evermore."

Vs. 5 - "Remember His marvelous works which He has done, His wonders and the judgements of His mouth."

Vs. 6 - "O seed of Abraham His servant, you children of Jacob, His chosen ones!

Vs. 7 - "He is The Lord our God; His judgements are in all the earth."

Vs. 8 - "He has remembered His covenants forever, the word which He commanded, for a thousand generations."

Vs. 9 - "The covenant which He made with Abraham and His oath to Isaac."

Vs. 10 - "And confirmed it to Jacob for a statute to Israel for an everlasting covenant."

Vs. 11 - "SAYING, 'TO YOU I WILL GIVE THE LAND OF CANAAN.'"

Frank

Democracy In Israel

Jehovah God warned Israel right from the beginning that trying to be like other nations would lead to division. He even discouraged them from wanting a king - He was their King! Almost every king of Israel were not good kings and most worshiped the false god Baal. Even David and Soloman had their faults.

In countries that functioned as Democracies, the Bible is overtaken by the democracy that becomes the ideal way of functioning. Even Israel today fits into this scenario. The divisions we see in Israel today are no different than its past.

During the time of the Tabernacles and the Temples, there were 12 Tribes and during the second Temple timeframe, there were Pharisees and Sadducees. Today, in Israel, there are Liberal and Secular Jews. However, Jehovah God can bring unity to Israel. Psalm 133:1 says, "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!"

Because We Love Israel Please Join Me

In Praying Psalm 24

Vs. 4 - He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, nor sworn deceitfully.

Vs. 5 - He shall receive blessing from The Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

Vs, 6 - This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him, who seek Your face.

Vs. 7 - Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of Glory shall come in.

Judea And Samaria?

Palestinian Terrorists fire rockets into Israel on a regular basis from Gaza. Now, with help from Iran they are trying to do the same thing from Judea and Samaria. The United States Government recently gave Iran ten billion dollars as part of a Prisoner Exchange Deal. Iran used part of this money to fund the Terror Group Hamas located in Judea and Samaria. In the past three months we know Hamas has fired at least six rockets into Israeli communities from Northern Judea and Samaria.

These types of reports are very disturbing for many reasons. Judea and Samaria are part of the land God gave to His Chosen People in Genesis 15:18. They are part of Israel! Now, Israeli communities are firing rockets upon each other with terror groups causing all the commotion.

Psalm 122:6

The Title Verse says "Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem." We at For Zion's Sake Ministry have adopted this verse as the theme verse for our Ministry. What exactly does it mean to "Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem?"

We first need to define the "Peace Of Jerusalem." Most commonly people define Peace as the lack of war. However, the Hebrew definition means a comfortable atmosphere in all areas of a person's life knowing that Jehovah God is in control of that particular life. As a result, when we pray for The Peace Of Jerusalem we are presenting to Jehovah God all areas of unrest in Israel.

The following is a brief description of current situations in Israel that need our prayers for peace:

The leaders of Lebanon are allowing penetrations into Israel to make Israel appear weak.

Iran is supplying Lebanon, Syria and Gaza with rockets to attack Israel.

Palestinians are claiming Samaria as their state.

Judges in Israel have the authority to affect Knesset decisions.

Let Us Close Our Time Together By Praying Psalm 121

Vs. 1 - "I will lift up my eyes to the hills from whence comes my help."

Vs. 2 - "My help comes from The Lord, Who made heaven and earth."

Vs. 3 - "He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber."

Vs. 4 - "Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep."

Danger For Israel

America and Iran have denied that there are negotiations happening between the two countries concerning a temporary Nuclear Agreement. Jerusalem refuses to accept these denials and are concerned about Israel's inability to influence the Biden Administration and Congress regarding Iran becoming a nuclear threat.

A Nuclear Agreement between Iran and other world powers would be a concern for Israel for the following reasons:

It would probably lift Sanctions against Iran.

Iran would bury its Nuclear Facilities under ground.

The United States might provide Iran with billions of dollars.

Israel will probably be the number one target of a nuclear Iran.

This Scenario Needs Our Fervent Prayers

Please Pray With Us Psalm 20

Vs. 1 - May The Lord answer you in the day of trouble; May the name of The God of Jacob defend you.

Vs. 2 - May He send you help from the sanctuary, and strengthen you out of Zion.

Vs. 4 - May He grant you according to your heart's desire and fulfill all your purpose.

Vs. 6 - Now I know that The Lord saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand.

Vs. 7 - Some trust in chariots and some in horses; but we will remember the name of The Lord our God.

Vs. 8 - They have bowed down and fallen; but we have risen and stand upright.

Vs. 9 - Save, Lord! May the King answer us when we call.

Blessings,

Time For Responsibility And Restraint

Israeli President Herzog called for calm and political co-operation over Judicial Reforms. This request came on the eve of the Tisha B'Av Fast in memory of the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans 2,000 years ago.

Religious Jews around the world observed a 24 Hour Fast between Wednesday night and Thursday night last week which was the anniversary of when in the year AD 70 the Temple was destroyed by Romans. This happened after much infighting among Jewish groups.

Currently in Israel, there are large demonstrations after the Knesset passed a portion of Judicial Reform. Segments of the Knesset has felt that the Supreme Court has had too much of an influence with the decisions made in the Knesset. This has resulted in the large demonstrations because some people feel the vote in the Knesset could result in ending the Supreme Court or at least limiting their influence.

Together, We Who Love Israel Need To

Pray Psalm 141 For Israel's Protection And Unity

Vs. 1 - Lord, I cry out to you; make haste to me! Give ear to my voice when I cry out to You.

Vs. 2 - Let my prayer be set before You as incense.

Vs. 3 - Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth; keep watch over the door of my lips.

Vs. 4 - Do not incline my heart to any evil thing.

Vs. 8 - But my eyes are upon You, O God The Lord.

Vs. 9 - Keep me from the snares which they have laid for me and from the traps of the workers of iniquity.

Vs. 10 - Let the wicked fall into their own nets, while I escape safely.

Blessings,

Frank

Mixed Messages

United States President Biden has sent mixed messages concerning the relationship between Israel and the United States. According to the New York Times Newspaper Biden said the United States and Israel relationship is in jeopardy but Israeli officials say this is fake news.

Last week Biden met with Israeli President Herzog and reports said the meeting was warm indicating strong bonds between Israel and the United States. Biden said, "This is a friendship that I believe is unbreakable." Also, Herzog addressed the United States Congress and was very well received.

Where did the mixed messages come from? A reporter for the New York Times claimed Biden told him opposite information due to Israel's proposed Judicial Reforms. Who do we believe? Looking at Herzog's positive trip to the United States, we believe the relationship between Israel and the United States is as strong as ever. Praise God!

We Can Keep This Relationship Strong

By Praying Psalm 122 Everyday!

Vs. 1 - "I was glad when they said to me, 'Let us go into the house of The Lord.'"

Vs. 2 - "Our feet have been standing within your gates, O Jerusalem!"

Vs. 3 - "Jerusalem is built as a city that is compact together."

Vs. 4 - "Where the tribes go up, the tribes of The Lord, to the testimony of Israel, to give thanks to the name of The Lord."

Vs. 5 - "For thrones are set there for judgement, the thrones of the house of David."

Vs. 6 - "Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem; may they prosper who love you."

Vs. 7 - "Peace be within your walls, prosperity within your palaces."

Vs. 8 - "For the sake of my brethren and companions, I will now say, 'Peace be within you.'"

Vs. 9 - "Because of the house of The Lord our God, I will seek your good."

Blessings,

Frank

Netanyahu Caught Between Washington & Beijing

Kevin McCarthy, Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, spoke to the Israeli Knesset recently. His speech centered on strong ties between Israel and China. He said China disguises itself as an innovator but acts like thieves.

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has received an invitation to visit China and has decided to accept this invitation. This decision has surprised many in Israel and Washington. China is most likely the only issue that the U.S. Congress agrees about since China is the number one enemy of the United States. Currently, Israel's new relationship with China appears to be affecting the close relationship of Israel and the United States.

We who love Israel and the United States and desire for their relationship to stay strong ask for you to join us at For Zion's Sake Ministry:

Praying The Following Verses Of Psalm 140

Vs. 1 - Deliver me, O Lord from evil men

Vs. 2 - Who plan evil things in their hearts

Vs. 4 - Keep me, O Lord from the hands of the wicked

Vs. 7 - O God The Lord, the strength of my salvation, You have covered my head in the day of battle

Vs. 8 - Do not grant, O Lord, the desires of the wicked

Vs. 13 - Surely the righteous shall give thanks to Your name

Blessings,

Frank

Judea And Samaria?

Israel reported plans for an additional 5,700 settlement homes. This will bring the number of new residents in Judea and Samaria this year to 13,082. The United Kingdom, Australia and Canada disapprove. This is just the continuation of Anti-Semitism that is rampant around the world.

This raises the question - Is Judea and Samaria part of Israel? Absolutely YES! Genesis 15:18 says, "On the same day The Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying 'To your descendants I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the River Euphrates.'" The land God gave to Abraham and his descendants {Jews} ran from Egypt to present day Iraq. This obviously included Judea and Samaria. Palestinians are trying to claim Samaria for themselves.

IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN - GOD WILL NOT ALLOW IT!

We Who Love And Support Israel Need To Pray Psalm 149

For God To Protect The Jewish Residents Of Samaria

Vs. 1 - Praise The Lord! Sing To The Lord A New Song

Vs. 2 - Let Israel Rejoice In Their Maker; Let The Children Of Zion Be Joyful In Their King

Vs. 4 - For The Lord Takes Pleasure In His People

Vs. 6 - Let The High Praises Of God Be In Their Mouth, And A Two-Edged Sword In Their Hand

Vs. 7 - To Execute Vengeance On The Nations

Vs. 9 - To Execute On Them The Written Judgement - This Honor Have All His Saints, Praise The Lord!

Blessings,

Frank

Is Israel Divided?

Israeli Defense Forces are performing outstanding work and are believed by many to be the best in the world. However, Jewish residents living in Samaria still face daily attacks by the Palestinians. There are stones being thrown against Jewish motorists and mob lynchings of Jewish shepherds.

Recent reports reveal that there is a deep divide between Secular Israelis and Religious Jews. As a result, some military officers are not fulfilling their obligation to defend "Settlers" living in Samaria.

Officers in the Israeli Defense Forces need to be reminded of their obligation to defend all Israelis. Is Israel divided? For all its successes, Israel seems determined to have divisions within its society. Israel has a history of divisions and the only solution is "Turning To God."

Please Pray With Us Psalm 147

For Jehovah God To Bring Unity Within Israel:

Vs. 1 - Praise The Lord for it is good to sing praises to our God; for it is pleasant and praise is beautiful

Vs. 2 - The Lord builds up Jerusalem; He gathers together the outcasts of Israel

Vs. 3 - He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds

Vs. 5 - Great is  the Lord and mighty in power

Vs. 6 - The Lord lifts up the humble; He casts the wicked down to the ground

Vs. 7 - Sing to The Lord with thanksgiving; sing praises on the harp to our God

Vs. 12 - Praise The Lord, O Jerusalem! Praise your God, O Zion

Blessings,

Frank

Tensions In Gaza

Israel announced last week that it desires to help the Palestinian Arabs. This is a surprise announcement because it sounds like Israel wants to help its enemies, because people assume all Palestinians are enemies of Israel. This is not true since many Palestinians live in Israel and are treated equally and they prefer living there.

Tensions have now developed among the Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip. Just off the coast of the Gaza Strip a large natural gas field has been discovered. This find could dramatically boost the Gaza economy. However, Gaza is ruled by Hamas that is a terror organization. It is believed Hamas will use the gas field income to attack Israel. Prime Minister Netanyahu of Israel announced the gas field will be developed by Egypt and the Palestinians leaving Hamas out of the equation. As a result, there is a great number of tensions developing in Gaza.

This Whole Scenario Needs Our Prayers!

Please Pray With Us Portions Of Psalm 118:

Vs. 1 - "Oh, give thanks to The Lord, for He is good! Because His mercy endures forever."

Vs. 2 - "Let Israel now say, 'His mercy endures forever.'"

Vs. 3 - "Let the house of Aaron now say, 'His mercy endures forever.'"

Vs. 4 -"Let those who fear The Lord now say, 'His mercy endures forever.'"

Vs. 5 - "I called on The Lord in distress; The Lord answered me and set me in a broad place."

Vs. 6 - "The Lord is on my side, I will not fear. What can man do to me?"

Vs. 8 - "It is better to trust in The Lord than to put confidence in man."

Blessings,

Frank

Israel Today!

Psalm 83:1-4 says, "Do not keep silent, O God! And do not be still, O God! For behold, Your enemies make a tumult . . . They have taken crafty counsel against Your people . . . They have said, 'Come and let us cut them off from being a nation, that the name of Israel may be remembered no more.'"

Verses 5-8 actually list those countries that are trying to destroy Israel including Syria, Lebanon, Gaza and Jordan. This consultation among Israel's enemies is currently taking place in and around Israel. This has been the tenuous situation since Israel was founded in 1948. On that very special and important day, Israel was invaded by the surrounding Arab countries.

Looking in more detail at Israel today, Judea and Samaria, where Jesus performed many of His miracles, has become a place where the Palestinians claim is their property and are actually building their own towns. Also, looking further at Israel today, judges have a major influence on decisions made by the Knesset. Prime Minister Netanyahu attempted to lessen the judge's power but had to stop this attempt after much pressure from political foes.

Possibly, reports like the above come as a major surprise. After all, this is all about the Holy Land. How can we who love Israel and its people, respond?

We Ask That You Pray With Us Psalm 99

For Our Lord God To Reign:

Vs. 1 - The Lord reigns; let the peoples tremble!

Vs. 2 - The Lord is great in Zion and He is high above all the peoples.

Vs. 5 - Exalt The Lord our God, and worship at His footstool; for He is holy.

Vs 6 - Moses and Aaron were among His Priests and Samuel called upon His name.

Vs. 8 - You answered them, O Lord our God, you were to them God who forgives.

Vs. 9 - Exalt The Lord our God, and worship at His holy hill.

Blessings,

Frank

Bring My People Home

Our last message ended with a statement that Jehovah God will bring His Chosen People Back Home. Ezekiel 36 very clearly addresses why our Lord scattered His People around the world and how and why He will bring them home. Ezekiel 36:16-21 says:

"Moreover, the word of The Lord came to me, saying; 'Son of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled it by their own ways and deeds . . . Therefore I poured out My fury on them . . . So I scattered them among the nations . . . When they came to the nations, wherever they went, they profaned My holy name . . . But I had concern for My holy name.'"

The People of Israel offended their God with their disobedience but especially their worship of false gods and idols. As a result, their Heavenly Father distributed them all over the world where they continued their unholy ways.

However, God did not abandon them. Ezekiel 37:23 says, "They shall not defile themselves anymore with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions; but I will deliver them from all their dwelling places in which they have sinned and will cleanse them. Then they shall be My People and I will be their God." This process has been happening for many years and continues every day until all are back in Israel. {Ezekiel 39:28}

Please Join Us In Praying Psalm 106

For God To Gather His Chosen People Back To Israel:

Vs. 40 - "Therefore the wrath of The Lord was kindled against His People"

Vs. 41 - "And He gave them into the hands of the Gentiles"

Vs. 44 - "Nevertheless He regarded their affliction"

Vs. 45 - "And for their sake He remembered His covenant"

Vs. 47 - "Save us, O Lord our God, and gather us from among the Gentiles"

Vs. 48 - "Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting"

Blessings,

Frank

The Light Of The World

Our message today will be somewhat different as I will be referencing information written by Cheryl Hauer who is with the "Bridges For Peace Ministry" located in Jerusalem.

A recent Gallup Poll indicates that unhappiness is on the rise throughout the world. The Middle East is one of the saddest regions on earth. The four saddest of the top ten countries include Turkey, Lebanon, Iraq and Jordan. However, 84% of Israelis say they are not sad, 75% are not stressed, 66% live lives of enjoyment, 64% are well rested and 85% feel fulfilled.

Overall, Israelis are healthy people. Israel comes in at number ten in the list of healthy countries of the world. It is believed that a healthy diet and low alcohol consumption play a large part in a healthy Israel. Israel's excellent healthcare system is very important. The fact that Israel has mandatory military service for men and women contributes to a fit and healthy society.

Thank you, Cheryl Hauer for the excellent above information.

Most importantly, God created Israel and her people and is bringing them home from throughout the world so they can be the "Light Of The World!"

Please Join Us In Praying Psalm 105:

Vs. 1 - "Oh give thanks to The Lord! Call upon His name, make known His deeds among the peoples."

Vs. 2 - "Sing to Him, Sing Psalms to Him; Talk of all His wonderous works."

Vs. 42 - "For He remembered His holy promise, and Abraham His servant."

Vs. 43 - "He brought out His people with joy."

Vs. 44 - "He gave them the land of the Gentiles."

Vs. 45 - "That they might observe His statutes and keep His laws."

Blessings,

Frank

Israeli Casualties

Israel has suffered loss of life and serious injuries from numerous wars and continuing terror attacks. This has resulted in hundreds of thousands of Israelis suffering from Post - Traumatic Stress. Even in the year of 1948 when Israel was formed as a State, immediately they were invaded by surrounding Arab countries.

This year on Yom Hazikaron {Memorial Day for the fallen soldiers of the wars of Israel and victims of actions of terrorism} Israel mourned 24,213 victims. This number included 4,255 civilian victims who have been murdered by terrorist attacks.

So far, we have only addressed the threat of continuing terror attacks in Israel. However, Israel is surrounded by those who desire to totally eliminate them as a State. Hezbullah, a terror organization, is located on Israeli's northern border with thousands of rockets pointed toward Israel. Gaza, located on Israel's southwest border, is a terror organization that shoots rockets into Israel on a regular basis. Syria is located on Israel's northeast border and currently houses Russian and Iranian troops who certainly are not friends of Israel.

Isaiah 40:1 says, "Comfort, Yes, Comfort My People!" We probably do not know any of those who have lost their lives but we can be involved in comforting their families through our prayers.

Please Join Us In Praying Psalm 91:

Vs. 2 - "I will say of The Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress."

Vs. 4 - "He shall cover you with His feathers and under His wings you shall take refuge."

Vs. 5 - "You shall not be afraid of the terror by night nor of the arrow that flies by day."

Vs. 9, 10, 11 - "Because you have made The Lord, who is your refuge, even the Most High, your habitation, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plaque come near your dwelling; for He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways."

Blessings,

Frank

Supporting Israel

Recently, a Christian procession through Jerusalem demonstrated to Israelis that they do not stand alone. Israeli President Herzog said, "Your presence demonstrates your unwavering support for our nation and its people. The State of Israel welcomes you with open arms."

This procession was organized by Jobst Bittner, Head of The International March of Movement. The movement organizes marching at Holocaust Sites all over Europe and at more than 500 cities within 20 nations around the world. Bittner proclaims as a German, "We must speak out against Anti-Semitism and stand with Israel."

On April 20th in the United States Capital Building, a ceremony was held to recognize Holocaust survivors. Some were actually present and spoke about family members who they lost during the Holocaust. A positive movement by the United States Government is that they have appointed a director to eliminate Anti-Semitism in the United States. She was the featured speaker. Praise The Lord!

Please Pray With Us Psalm 122 In Support Of Israel:

Vs. 1 "I was glad when they said to me, 'Let us go into the house of The Lord.'"

Vs. 2 "Our feet have been standing within your gates, O Jerusalem!"

Vs. 6 "Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem: May they prosper who love you."

Vs. 7 "Peace be within your walls, prosperity within your palaces."

Vs. 8 "For the sake of my brethren and companions, I will now say, 'Peace be within you.'"

The Land!

A left leaning Israeli Leader is expected to view "The West Bank" as Palestinian Arab Land illegally occupied by Israel. He says only Jewish "Extremists" insist on calling the region by its Biblical name Judea and Samaria and insist the right of the Jews is to settle on these lands. While visiting Judea and Samaria an Israeli extremist said, "Our forefathers put down roots in Judea and Samaria." Who Owns Judea And Samaria?

The Word of God is very clear about Judea and Samaria! It was given by Jehovah God to His Chosen People - The Jews. There is no question about this no matter what the Palestinians; countries of the world; NATO or the United Nations might say! Genesis 15:18 says, "On the same day The Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying: 'To your descendants I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the River Euphrates.'"

The land given by God to His Chosen People runs from Egypt to the Euphrates River with the Mediterranean Sea as its West Border and Jordan as its East Border. Certainly, this land given by God to His People includes Judea and Samaria!

Please Pray Psalm 68 For God's People In Judea And Samaria:

Vs. 1   "Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered."

Vs. 2   "As smoke is driven away, so drive them away."

Vs. 33 "Indeed, He sends out His voice, a mighty voice."

Vs. 34 "Ascribe strength to God, His excellence is over Israel."

Vs. 35 "The God of Israel is He who gives strength to His People."

Blessings,

Frank

Genesis 12:3

Please notice the title in which Gnesis 12:3 says "I Will Bless Those Who Bless You." Jehovah God desires to bless those who bless Israel. Each weekly message will bring an update of happenings in Israel and will end with prayer for those situations using a Psalm as the reference.

When Benjamin Netanyahu was recently re-elected as Prime Minister, it was believed Right-Wing Politics would dominate decisions. After four months, there is a crisis in the Right-Wing Coalition. National Security Minister Itamar Ben Guir has said he will not vote with the Right-Wing Coalition unless Netanyahu pursues more Right-Wing Policies.

Ben Guir believes Netanyahu reacted in a weak manner in his response to rocket attacks from Gaza. The prime minister responded by saying, "If Ben Guir is dissatisfied, he is welcome to leave the government." Ben Guir also feels as Minister of National Security, he should be involved in discussions on how to respond to rocket attacks. Possibly, Ben Guir was not invited to discussions because he believes the way to deal with Gaza is "To bomb it into oblivion." The Knesset does not welcome this type of attitude.

Currently, Right-Wing Politics is not capable of functioning in Israel. Israel's leadership has to always pay attention to political considerations worldwide. Israel's hands are not free to function as they desire!

Is Israel's Government an abomination to Jehovah God? Israel rejected God as their King in 1Samuel 8:5 when they said "Now make for us a king to judge us like all the nations." Likewise, Israel's current government is considered a democracy but please notice all the turmoil in its attempt to function with results.

How can we pray for the government in Israel? Psalm 81 is entitled "God's Plea For Israel's Obedience." Please pray the following verses with us:

Verse 1. "Sing aloud to God our strength."

Verse 8. "Hear, O My people and I will admonish you!"

Verse 9. "There shall be no foreign god among you."

Verse 10 "I am the Lord your God."

Verse 13. " Oh that My people would listen to Me."

Verse 14. "I would soon subdue their enemies."

Hallelujah . . . Bless His Holy Name!

Blessings,

Frank

Jesus, The Revelator, Final Message

This will be the final message in our study of the Book Of Revelation. Some of you might be declaring Hallelujah! We know many pastors do not teach Revelation believing it is difficult to understand. Yes, it can be challenging but we believe Christians need to know what has to take place prior to Jesus returning to earth. We hope you now feel more confident about end time events.

Revelation 19:7-8 says, "Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His wife has made herself ready. And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints."

This is one of the most special couple of verses in God's Word. The timing of this event is challenging but it is believed to happen at the end of the Tribulation Period just prior to Jesus returning to earth. Those who are "Saved" are invited to this most Glorious Meal In History! We will sit and eat a meal with Jesus as The Host. John 14:2 says Jesus "Has prepared a place for us" to include this very special meal. Bless His Holy Name!

We also believe that shortly after this special meal Jesus returns to earth. {Revelation 19:11-21.} It is important to understand all that is happening at this point in time. The kings of the earth have gathered armies at the valley called Meggog in Israel to invade Jerusalem. This battle is also referred to as the Battle of Armageddon. Jesus is observing all of these events.

Revelation 19:11-21 are entitled "Second Coming Of Jesus" and verse 11 says, "Then I saw Heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True and in righteousness He judges and makes war." Jesus is coming to earth riding on a white horse in the sky. All those who are saved will follow Him dressed in white riding on white horses. {Revelation 19:14.}

Revelation 19:15 says, "Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations." Jesus instantly defeats the armies attempting to destroy Jerusalem starting His ruling and reigning on earth as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Hallelujah!

Our next message will start a time when we will bring updates on the tense scenario in Israel and how we all can pray effectively for the "Peace of Jerusalem." based on the Psalms.

Blessings,

Frank
