Jesus, The Revelator

Revelation 17:1 says, "Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and talked with me, saying to me, 'Come, I will show you the judgement of the great harlot who sits on many waters.'" Revelation 17 is all about the great harlot. We will start this much involved message by identifying her.

She is also referred to as Mystery Babylon The Great, The Mother Of Harlots. We learned previously that physical Babylon has been destroyed. This harlot represents spiritual Babylon or the Apostate Church during the Tribulation Period. This church will concentrate on rituals instead of revivals. Could we say some of this is present today?

Revelation 17:7 says, "But the angel said to me, 'Why do you marvel? I will tell you the mystery of the woman and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and the ten horns.'" We have learned previously that the beast is the Anti-Christ who controls the harlot. The beast is shown with seven heads and ten horns. The seven heads are mountains on which the harlot sits. More important, the ten horns are the kings who give power and authority to the beast and they try to make war with the Lamb {Jesus} who defeats them. {Battle of Armageddon}.

Revelation 17:15-18 says, "And he said to me, 'The waters which you saw where the harlot sits, are people, multitudes, nations, and tongues. And the ten horns which you saw on the beast, these will hate the harlot, make her desolate and naked, eat her flesh and burn her with fire. For God has put it into their hearts to fulfill His purpose.'" Please notice verse 17 says, "For God has put into their hearts to fulfill His purpose." God's purpose during the Tribulation Period is to have the Anti-Christ in total control. This will become possible once the harlot is destroyed.

In our next message, we will start looking at Revelation 19, 20 that is called "The Reign Of The King." Hallelujah!

Jesus, The Revelator

Revelation 15:5-8 says, "After these things I looked and behold the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in Heaven was opened. And out of the temple came the seven angels having the seven plaques, clothed in pure bright linen and having their chests girded with golden bands. Then one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the wrath of God who lives forever and ever. The temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from His power and no one was able to enter the temple till the seven plaques of the seven angels were completed."

This will be the scene in Heaven just prior to God establishing His Bowl Judgements to complete the pouring out of His Wrath.

Following are the Seven Bowl Judgements and their affects:

First Bowl - Sores upon those worshipping the Beast.

Second Bowl - Blood in the seas killing all the creatures.

Third Bowl - Rivers and springs become blood.

Fourth Bowl - The sun will scorch men with fire.

Fifth Bowl - The kingdom of the Anti-Christ will become dark.

Sixth Bowl - The Euphrates River will dry up so the Kings of the East may pass over. This will be part of the Kings of the earth gathering to invade Jerusalem in the Battle of Armageddon.

Seventh Bowl - Revelation 16:17,21 "Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air and a loud voice came out of the temple of Heaven, from the throne, saying, 'It Is Done!' And men blasphemed God."

It is difficult to believe but after God poured out His Wrath on unbelievers, there will still be those who blaspheme Him and do not accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Those who survive the pouring out of God's Bowl Judgements will then be part of the Battle of Armageddon. Revelation 14:20 says the blood shed during this battle will rise up to horses' bridles.

Looking ahead, we are approaching the completion of the study of Revelation with four messages remaining. We then plan to bring weekly updates on the tense situation in Israel to include ways to Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem using the Book of Psalms.

Jesus - The Revelator

Continuing our study of the book of Revelation, we will concentrate on the last half of Chapter 14. We serve a caring and loving God! Even though He is not done pouring out His Wrath since the Bowl Judgments are still coming, Jehovah God directs a number of angels to bring forth a harvest of souls to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior.

Revelation 14:6,7 says, "Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of Heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth - to every nation, tribe, tongue and people - saying with a loud voice, 'hear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgement has come; and worship Him who made Heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.'"

We just learned in Revelation 13 that the unholy trinity of Satan, Anti-Christ and false prophet will bring total chaos on the earth demanding that all people worship them. The exact timing between Revelation 14:6,7 and that total chaos is not clear. However, we do know that Jehovah God will not give up bringing people into His Kingdom even until the last minute. Notice the angel in verse six preached "To every nation, tribe, tongue and people."

There is more "Good News" in Revelation 14:8 that says, "And another angel followed, saying, 'Babylon is fallen, is fallen.'" There is a twofold meaning to this statement. The physical city of Babylon already has been destroyed. However, the Spirit of Babylon still exists in the form of the Love of Material Goods instead of the Love of God.

Revelation 14:9,10 says, "Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, 'If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the Wrath of God.'" This is a clear declaration of what awaits those who worship the unholy trinity.

Possibly you read this message and are thinking "I Do Not Worship The Unholy Trinity." However, you now know the importance of coming into God's Kingdom and desire to enter God's Kingdom. If you have reached this decision, please repeat this prayer:

Jesus, I Know I Am A Sinner . . .

Please Forgive Me Of All My Sins . . .

I Proclaim Jesus Is Lord . . .

And That God Raised Him From The Dead . . .

Please Come Into My Heart As My Lord And Savior . . .

Thank You Jesus - I Am Saved!

Holy Week Message - "He Knew"

For Zion's Sake Ministry is taking a break from our continuing study of Revelation to present a special Holy Week message entitled "He Knew." All who have received Jesus as their Savor know He came to earth for one reason - TO DIE. No one knows how this important assignment for Jesus took place in Heaven. However, the Word of God illustrates Jesus knowing without a doubt why He came to earth. This special Holy Week message will proclaim "He Knew" Be encouraged, Jesus Knows All!

The first mention of Jesus as an adult was His Baptism when God said in Matthew 4:17, "This is My Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." Jehovah God said to His Son Jesus I am pleased with You even before Jesus had started His important assignment. "He Knew"

Matthew 16:20 says, "Then He commanded His disciples that they should tell no one that He was Jesus The Christ." "He Knew"

At the Transfiguration God spoke to Jesus saying in Matthew 17:5, "This is My Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased, Hear Him!" Also at the Transfiguration, Jesus said in Matthew 17:9 to His beloved disciples "Tell the vision to no one until the Son of Man is risen from the dead." "He Knew"

Matthew 17:22,23 shows Jesus saying to the disciples, "The Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men, and they will kill Him and the third day He will be raised up." "He Knew"

Matthew 20:18 shows Jesus talking to His disciples saying, "Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priest and to the scribes and they will condemn Him to death." "He Knew"

Matthew 26:2 shows Jesus talking to His disciples saying, "You know that after two days is the Passover and the Son of Man will be delivered up to be crucified." "He Knew"

In preparation for the Passover Meal, Jesus said in Matthew 26:18 to the disciples, "Go into the city to a certain man and say to him, The Teacher says, 'My time is at hand.'" "He Knew"

At the Passover Meal, Jesus said in Matthew 26:26, "Take, eat, 'This is my body.'" "He Knew"

May You Have A Blessed Holy Week and Resurrection Sunday!

He Is Risen! He is Risen Indeed!

Blessings,

Frank
