Jesus, The Revelator

Our last message introduced us to the 144,000 Jewish men hand-picked by God and sealed by God but their exact assignment is not mentioned. One possible assignment discussed by Biblical Scholars is that they will travel the world as ambassadors of Jesus Christ. This is an intriguing theory. If this is true, all 144,000 will have to know Jesus as Lord and Savior. Could this be the start of "All Israel Being Saved" as stated in Romans 11:26.

Revelation 7:13-15 says, "Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, 'who are these arrayed in white robes and where did they come from? And I said to him, Sir, you know, these are the ones who come out of the great tribulation and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore, they are before the throne of God and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the Throne will dwell among them.'" This group who will be saved out of the tribulation are different from those "under the altar." {Revelation 6:9} This group of saved tribulation saints serve God day and night in Heaven.

Revelation 8:1 says, "When He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in Heaven for about half an hour." The exact reason why there is half an hour of silence in Heaven is not explained. However, we can examine the events in Heaven during the time of silence. Seven angels stand before the throne of God holding seven trumpets. Each trumpet will represent a segment of Jesus pouring out His Wrath.

Prior to the trumpet's blasts, a very important event will happen before the throne of God. Revelation 8:3-4 says, "Then another angel, having a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. And he was given much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel's hand."

The incense censer is the prayers of the saints from around the world. God promised to the martyrs under the altar that when the proper number of people have repented He would unleash His recompence. {Revelation 6:11} At the end of the half hour of silence, that number will be reached and the sound of the trumpets will start. Stay Tuned!

Blessings,

Frank
