Trust In The Lord

The war that Israel is fighting on its Northern border has become out of control and downright ugly! Hezbollah has been firing rockets into the small towns of Northern Israel. Within the last two days they have fired rockets upon children and killing them on the Golan Heights. It appears evil has no limits as it attacks God's People. However, we all should be encouraged because Psalm 37 verses 9,10 says, "For evildoers shall be cut off; but those who wait on The Lord, they shall inherit the earth. For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more."

Psalm 37 has 40 verses. We have chosen a number of verses which illustrates evil being defeated and God's People being victories:

Vs. 1 - "Do not fret because of evildoers, nor be envious of the workers of iniquity."

Vs. 2 - "For they shall soon be cut down like the grass."

Vs. 5 - "Commit your way to The Lord, trust also in Him."

Vs. 8 - "Cease from anger and forsake wrath; do not fret - it only causes harm."

Vs. 11 - "But the meek shall inherit the earth and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace."

Vs. 12 - "The wicked plots against the just and gnashes at him with his teeth."

Vs. 13 - "The Lord laughs at him."

Vs. 16 - "A little that a righteous man has a better than the riches of many wicked."

Vs. 17 - "For the arms of the wicked shall be broken, but The Lord upholds the righteous."

The Lord Is My Shepherd

Currently, Prime Minister of Israel Netanyahu is visiting Washington, D.C. and has addressed the U.S. Congress. However, a number of members of Congress held up negative signs and some would not stand up to show him proper respect. Additionally, there were anti-Israel demonstrations outside his hotel. During this visit he will meet with President Biden and Vice President Harris who were not in attendance for his address to the U.S. Congress.

The Israeli Prime Minister certainly needs our prayers during his visit to America and we also believe praying Psalm 23 for him is necessary and appropriate every day.

Psalm 23 . . .

Vs. 1 - "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want."

Vs. 2 - "He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters."

Vs. 3 - "He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake."

Vs. 4 - "Yea thou I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me."

Vs. 5 - "You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over."

Vs. 6 - "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of The Lord forever."

"I Speak Jesus"

"I Speak Jesus" is the title for this message but is also a worship song sung by the students at West Coast Bible College. The song illustrates that by singing the name of Jesus, all of life's challenges will turn into victories. After all, God's Word says in Psalm 8:6 "You have put all things under His feet." As a result, all of us who know Jesus as our Lord and Savior should make it a daily practice to proclaim The Name Of Jesus over every situation we might encounter throughout the day. Bless His Holy Name!

Every morning, we at For Zion's Sake Ministry observe the Jewish People worshipping God at The Western Wall by singing the Psalms. This is an example to each one of us to either read Psalms or sing Psalms to our Lord during our "Quiet Time."

Our Example For This Message Is Psalm 8 Entitled "God's Glory"

Vs. 1 - "O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is Your name in all the earth, You who set Your glory above the heavens!"

Vs. 2 - "Out of the mouth of babes and infants You have ordained strength, because of Your enemies, that You may silence the enemy and the avenger."

Vs. 3 - "When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained."

Vs. 4 - "What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him?"

Vs. 5 - "For You have made him a little lower than the angels, and You have crowned him with glory and honor."

Vs. 6 - "You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet."

Vs 9 - "O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is Your name in all the earth!"

{Just a short note from Frank's wife, Carole. Frank will be celebrating on July 19th his 84th birthday, we thank and Praise The Lord for Blessing him all these many years.}

Two Wars

The Israeli Defense Forces certainly have their "Hands Full" since they are fighting two wars - one in Gaza and one on their Northern border. The IDF in Gaza is in the process of identifying and totally eliminating Hamas so they will not be a factor in Israel any longer. On the Northern border of Israel Hezbollah has been firing rockets into Israel's small towns. We need to understand that Hezbollah is funded and empowered by Iran meaning Israel is fighting a war on their Northern border against Iran. This war is also taking place on the Golan Heights.

Some of the Psalms address the challenges of Israel defeating their enemies. God's Covenant People worship Jehovah God through singing the Psalms. Psalm 149 is a wonderful example:

Vs. 1 - "Praise The Lord! Sing to The Lord a new song and His praise in the congregation of saints."

Vs. 2 - "Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; let the children of Zion be joyful in their King."

Vs. 3 - "Let them praise His name with the dance, let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp."

Vs. 4 - "For The Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the humble with salvation."

Vs. 5 - "Let the saints be joyful in glory; let them sing aloud on their beds."

Vs. 6 - "Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two - edged sword in their hand."

Vs. 7 - "To execute vengeance on the nations, and punishments on the peoples."

Vs. 8 - "To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron."

Vs. 9 - "To execute on them the written judgement - this honor have all His saints. Praise The Lord!"
