Surrounded!

Israel needs our prayers every day and God's Word encourages us to pray for them each day as Genesis 12:3 and Psalm 122:6 proclaim. In this message we will inform you how Israel is "Surrounded" by enemies except for the Mediterranee Sea on its Western border. To clearly understand this further - if you lived in the United States, three of the four states surrounding your state would be enemies and if you lived in Europe, three of the surrounding nations would be your enemies.

Looking at Israel being surrounded by enemies - on their Southern border is Egypt who used to be a friend but now is helping Hamas in Gaza; on their Eastern border is Saudi Arabia and Jordon with their friendships in question and on their Northern border is Hasbullah who is trying to destroy Israel from the North.

"All Israel Will Be Saved"

Our title for this message is from Romans 11:26 saying, "And so all Israel will be saved." We at For Zion's Sake Ministry sense a positive message is in order concerning all that is currently taking place in Israel. Certainly, a message explaining how God's Word which illustrates that the Jewish people from around the world will be back in Israel and will receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior is appropriate.

Zechariah 14:4 says, "And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives." This verse actually describes Jesus physically coming back to earth and most Bible Scholars believe this will happen at the end of the Tribulation Period. Zechariah 12:10 says, "And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they have pierced." At that moment, all the Jewish people back in Israel, will receive Jesus Christ as their Savior. Why will the Jewish people be back in Israel? Anti-Semitism will be strong around the world as it is currently.

We who love Israel, desire to present portions of Psalm 76 to our Heavenly Father as follows:

Vs. 1 - "In Judah God is known; His name is great in Israel."

Vs. 2 - "In Salem also is His tabernacle, and His dwelling place in Zion."

Vs. 3 - "You are more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey."

Vs. 6 - "At Your rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the chariot and horse were cast into a dead sleep."

Vs. 8 - "You caused judgement to be heard from Heaven; the earth feared and was still."

Vs. 11 - "Make vows to The Lord your God and pay them; let all who are around Him bring presents to Him who ought to be feared."

Blessings,

In This Together

Most Israelis spend two or three years together in the Israeli Defense Forces {IDF} since it is considered to be part of their society and is considered to be a "Right Of Passage." Israel was surrounded by and attacked by the countries around them the day it was founded in 1948 and has been surrounded by enemies ever since.

As a result of these attacks, they have had to fight numerous wars. With the Guidance of Jehovah God Israel has won every war! We do not believe the wars currently in Gaza and on their Northern border will be any different. It is just a matter of how and when! Praise The Lord!

Psalm 122:6 says, "Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem." Also, Genesis 12:3 says, "I Will Bless Those Who Bless Israel." We desire to be those who know and obey God's Word.

Psalm 99 says . . .

Vs. 1 - "The Lord reigns; let the peoples tremble! He dwells between the cherubim; let the earth be moved!"

Vs. 2 - "The Lord is great in Zion, and He is high above all the peoples."

Vs. 3 - "Let them praise Your great and awesome name - He is holy."

Vs. 4 - "The King's strength also loves justice; You have established equity; You have executed justice and righteousness in Jacob."

Vs. 5 - "Exalt the Lord our God, and worship at His footstool; for He is holy."

Vs. 9 - "Exalt the Lord our God and worship at His holy hill; for the Lord our God is holy."

Blessings,

Frank

Pray For Bibi

Possibly, you are wondering who is Bibi? Bibi is a nickname for the Prime Minister of Israel whose full name is Benjamin Netanyahu. Why does he need our constant and continual prayers?

All we have to do is observe what is currently taking place in Israel. We hear in the news everyday about the tense situation in Southern Gaza. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) are in the process of trying to identify Hamas and at the same time eliminate them. This is very difficult since Hamas does not wear uniforms as they mingle among the citizens. Also, this conflict is taking place at the border with Egypt and they are actually helping Hamas.

Additionally, there is a conflict on Israel's Northern border with Hezbullah which is attacking Israel from the North. Reports indicate that Hezbullah is attacking IDF soldiers on the border and even burning small Israel towns. As a result, Israel is in a war on their Southern and Northern borders.

Join us in praying Psalm 81 that Jehovah God will, in accordance with His Word, help Israel defend themselves:

Vs. 1 - "Sing aloud to God our strength; make a joyful shout to the God of Jacob."

Vs. 4 - "For this is a statute for Israel, and a law of the God of Jacob."

Vs. 7 - "You called in trouble and I delivered you."

Vs. 8 - "Hear, O My people and I will admonish you! O Israel, if you will listen to me!"

Vs. 9 - "There shall be no foreign god among you; nor shall you worship any foreign gods."

Vs. 13 - "Oh, that My people would listen to Me, that Israel would walk in My ways!"

Vs. 14 - "I would soon subdue their enemies and turn My hand against their adversaries."

Blessings,

Who Can I Trust?

You might be wondering who currently said "Who Can I Trust?" In the days and times that we live, most likely many people are asking the same question. Probably the question should be "Who Can I Trust" other than our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ? However, for this message we are thinking specifically of the Prime Minister of Israel Netanyahu.

Currently, the Israeli Defense Forces of Israel are in Southern Gaza with the primary purpose of identifying and eliminating Hamas. This assignment comes with many difficult challenges. They must identify who is Hamas among the citizens and the newest challenge is Egypt, who used to be a friend of Israel, is now siding with Hamas. We also learned that tents which Israel provided for the citizens just "mysteriously" burned. Who can really believe this is a "mystery?"

The Israeli Defense Forces and the citizens of Southern Gaza certainly  need our continuing prayers. Please pray with us Psalm 75.

Vs. 1 - "We give thanks to You, O God, we give thanks! For Your wondrous works declare that Your name is near."

Vs. 2 - "When I choose the proper time, I will judge uprightly."

Vs. 3 - "The earth and all its inhabitants are dissolved; I set up its pillars firmly."

Vs. 4,5 - "I said to the boastful, 'do not deal boastfully,' and to the wicked, 'do not lift up the horn. Do not lift up your horn on high; do not speak with a stiff neck.'"

Vs. 6 - "For exaltation comes neither from the east nor from the west nor from the south."

Vs. 7 - "But God is the Judge; He puts down one, and exalts another."

Vs. 8 - "For in the hand of The Lord is a cup, and the wine is red; it is fully mixed, and He pours it out; surely its dregs shall all the wicked of the earth drain and drink down."

Vs. 9 - "But I will declare forever, I will sing praises to the God of Jacob."

Vs. 10 - "All the horns of the wicked I will also cut off, but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted."

Blessings,

Psalm 122:6

Those who love and pray for Israel are familiar with Psalm 122:6 which says, "Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem." Jerusalem in this verse is more than the capital of Israel for it includes all of the physical land of Israel but also includes the Jewish People worldwide. Since Israel was founded in 1948 it has continually been involved in fighting wars and Jehovah God has empowered the Israeli Defense Forces to win every conflict. Let Us All Praise The Lord!

Currently, they are involved in fighting a war in Southern Gaza. This is not a typical war but is still a war trying to totally eliminate Hamas as a terror organization. The Israeli Defense Forces have Hamas cornered in Southern Gaza. However, it is very challenging because Hamas is difficult to identify since it mingles among the citizens and hides in the tunnels.

The Israeli Defense Forces need our continual prayers. I have chosen certain verses in Psalm 27 as it is a Psalm about defeating our enemies:

Vs. 4 - "One thing I have desired of The Lord, that will I seek; that I may dwell in the house of The Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of The Lord, and to inquire in His temple."

Vs. 5 - "For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; in the secret place of His tabernacle. He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock."

Vs. 6 - "And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me, therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to The Lord."

Vs. 7 - "Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice! Have mercy also upon me and answer me."

Vs. 8 - "When You said, 'Seek My Face,' my heart said to You, 'Your face, Lord, I will seek."

Blessings,

"I Will Bless Those Who Bless You"

The quotation used for the title of this message is taken from Genesis 12:3 saying, "I Will Bless Those Who Bless You And I Will Curse Him Who Curses You." This is a very familiar verse for those who love Israel especially now with what is taking place in Southern Gaza. The Israeli Defense Forces are in Southern Gaza with the primary purpose of eliminating Hamas from its existence. This is a very important but also a very challenging assignment from Jehovah God since Hamas mingles among the citizens of Gaza. However, our Lord God has won every war for Israel, the only question is how and when will Hamas be eliminated?

Historically, Gaza was part of Israel until a former Israeli Prime Minister thought giving up Gaza would lead to peace. He even forced all the Israeli citizens living in Gaza to give up their land some of which were very large farms. Shortly thereafter Hamas was elected as the governing body and we now realize this act did not lead to peace.

The Israeli Defense Forces in Southern Gaza truly need our prayers, please join in praying Psalm 149:

Vs. 1 - "Praise The Lord! Sing to The Lord a new song, and His praise in the congregation of saints."

Vs. 2 - "Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; let the children of Zion be joyful in their King."

Vs. 3 - "Let them praise His name with the dance; let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp."

Vs. 4 - "For The Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the humble with salvation."

Vs. 5 - "Let the saints be joyful in glory; let them sing aloud on their beds."

Vs. 6 - "Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand."

Vs. 7 - "To execute vengeance on the nations, and punishments on the peoples."

Vs. 8 - "To find their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron."

Vs. 9 - "To execute on them the written judgement - this honor have all His saints. Praise The Lord!"

Blessings,

Frank
