The Jewish Messiah - Part One

This week's message starts a new series illustrating that Jesus Is The Long Anticipated Jewish Messiah. Currently a small percentage of God's Chosen People have supernaturally come to this realization. The day is coming which is believed to be at the end of the Tribulation Period when "All Israel Will Be Saved." (Romans 11:26)

In the meantime, For Zion's Sake Ministries is committed to opening the eyes of the Jewish People to see Jesus as their Messiah. When we look at the genealogy of Jesus we learn in Chapter One of Matthew that Jesus was "The Son Of David, The Son Of Abraham." There were 42 generations from Abraham to David to Jesus. David was promised that his throne would last forever. (2Samuel 7:16)

Jesus Was Brought Up In An Observant Jewish Family:

He was circumcised on the eighth day
according to the Law Of Moses (Luke 2:21-23)

At an early age the Son Of God
was taught the Words Of The Torah (Luke 2:41-47)

As An Observant Jewish Adult, Jesus Performed:

Keeping the Sabbath (Matthew 12:8)

Traveling to Jerusalem three times a year to keep The Feasts
(Matthew 26:17)

In many of the teachings of Jesus He quoted the Law and Prophets. Matthew 22:34-40 says, "Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. One of them, an expert in the law tested Him with this question: 'Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the law?' Jesus replied: 'Love The Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.'"

Lastly, Jesus explained why He came to a Gentile woman, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel." (Matthew 15:24) Jesus came for His own people which will be illustrated from the Old Testament in future messages.

May The Lord Bless You This Day And Every Day,
Frank
