The Jewish Messiah - Part Four

Isaiah 9:7 says, "Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and over His Kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever." This prophetic announcement of the birth of Jesus states that Jesus will become a King and govern from the Throne of King David and this Kingdom will last forever.

Furthermore, Luke 1:30-33 says, "Then the angel said to her, 'Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Highest; and The Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever and of His kingdom there will be no end.'" Jesus will be given the throne of David by God and He will reign over the Jewish People forever. He is the King of the Jews and their Messiah!

Also, 2Samuel 7:16 describes God speaking to Nathan and instructing him to speak to David, "And your house and your kindom shall be established forever before you. Your throne shall be established forever." David's throne will continue forever through Jesus, The Son of God. Hallelujah!

Jehovah God gave His Covenant People an opportunity to recognize Jesus as their King and Messiah. Zechariah 9:9 says, "Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you; He is just and having salvation, lowly and riding on a donkey, a colt, the foal of a donkey." This actual event is described in Matthew 21:5-11.

The people of Jerusalem proclaimed Jesus as The Son of David and a prophet from Nazareth. Possibly some in the crowd recognized Jesus as their King but Jesus wept because He knew they were going to reject Him. (Luke 19:41).

The Word of Jehovah God proclaims Jesus as The Jewish Messiah who came to Rule and Reign on David's throne forever! Stay Tuned!

May The Lord Bless You And Keep You This Day And Every Day,
Frank
